Father, yoga teacher and health coach, sports teacher and communications manager. Since 2019, my teaching path has brought together Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini and Yin Yoga with meditation and breathwork. My work connects body-based practice, reflection and community.
800 hours of yoga teacher training: 200 at Dharma Yoga Berlin (2019) and 600 in Yin & Yang at KISA Akademie Berlin (2023). I studied sport, work as a sports teacher at an alternative school and am a health coach.
I worked as a commercial model. Today I also develop digital ideas and content. Being outdoors and surfing give me space, movement and fresh perspectives.
My support is coaching and practice. It does not replace psychotherapy or medical treatment.
I also bring perspectives from communications management and my work as a copywriter.
Why I founded SHIVA SHIFT
I’m Sashiva. As a father, I wanted a space that connected my questions: my relationship with my child, my body, my history and my everyday choices. I missed a form of support that brought these experiences together. That is why I created SHIVA SHIFT.
The program draws on my personal experiences with therapy, yoga, bodywork, inner work, breathwork and plant medicine. This describes my own journey, not a clinical qualification or proof of treatment effectiveness. Plant medicine is not a requirement for participation.
My approach brings together body practice, coaching, shared conversation among fathers and personal support through change. I aim to stand alongside fathers in challenging phases of life with attention, experience and practical prompts, to the best of my knowledge and ability. We explore together what fits each person.
My journey. Step by step.
2013
Becoming a father.
The birth of my first son strengthens my commitment to healthier habits and a natural lifestyle. Being a father changes how I want to live and take responsibility.
That same year, I graduate summa cum laude in communication management in Berlin, after previously studying economics, sports, German literature and philosophy.
2015
A new practice begins.
My first yoga class at the Agape Zoe Festival in Berlin opens a new connection to movement, community and belonging.
The history and philosophy of yoga spark my curiosity. Step by step, I begin to integrate these teachings into my own life.
2015–2018
Connecting people through stories.
As a freelance social media editor, I work for the official German Instagram channel. During this time, our team helps the channel grow from roughly three million to more than seven million followers.
I learn to create stories that connect people and build supportive online communities. Working as a copywriter for Berlin agencies brings together creativity and strategic thinking.
2019
Learn and share.
At Dharma Yoga Berlin, I complete 200 hours of yoga teacher training. The experience deepens my understanding of yoga, meditation and Vedic philosophy.
The training strengthens my own practice and lays the foundation for sharing these teachings with others.
2023
Deepening the practice.
At KISA Akademie Berlin, I complete another 600 hours of Yin & Yang yoga teacher training, deepening my practice in Jivamukti, Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga.
Learning in the lineage of Sarah Powers offers further perspectives and techniques. Mindfulness, breath and self-compassion remain at the heart of my practice.
2024
Becoming a father again.
In 2024, I become the father of another boy. His birth begins another chapter in my life as a father.
Closeness, responsibility and what I want to pass on to my children take on a new meaning for me.
2025
Stay connected. Hold your own path.
Since 2025, I have also experienced estrangement and a break in contact personally.
The work I previously invested in myself carries me. I have found a stable way to respond without falling back into old patterns, and I continue clearly on my path.
This experience deepens my motivation to support other fathers, with a focus on what they can shape themselves.
2026
My own teaching approach.
With Sashtangi Yoga, I introduce my own approach combining Kundalini and shamanic practice.
Drumming, breath, sound and kriyas shape this project, bringing together experiences and practices that have accompanied my journey.
TODAY

SHIVA SHIFT is the program I wish had been available during my toughest times. It brings together my personal experience as a father and years of practice.
